A narrativa de "Rio Cigano" é inspirada na tradição oral cigana, combinada a temas contemporâneos, como o consumo da vaidade. É hora de uma cigana chamada Kaia contar a história. Uma menina forte, que sabe o que quer e realmente luta por isso. Uma personagem que é capaz de nos fazer voar sobre seus sonhos, lembranças, medos e sente o tempo em uma perspectiva diferente. Não é a reconstituição de um único modo de vida. O universo cigano brasileiro se mistura aos ciganos dos Balcãs, em um filme que vai além dos limites geográficos. A amizade entre duas meninas ciganas em contraste com a violência de uma condessa. A beleza dos elementos é filmada de uma maneira sensível, os acontecimentos mágicos são uma possibilidade. O universo fílmico é particularmente feminino e faz surgir uma história onde sinais de amor atravessam as camadas que insistem em dilacerar a vida.  

The narrative of "Gypsy River" is inspired in gypsy oral tradition, combined with contemporary themes such as vanity's consumption. It is time for a gypsy called Kaia to tell the story. A strong girl who knows what she wants and really fights for that. A character who is able to make us fly over her dreams, memories, fears and feels time in a different perspective. It's not a simply reconstitution of one way of living; the film mixes the Brazilian gypsy universe with the gypsies from the Balkans, in a movie that goes beyond geographic limits. The friendship between two gypsy girls in conflict with the violence of a Countess. The beauty of elements filmed in a sensitive way, the magical happenings as a possibility. The filmic universe is particularly feminine and raises a story where love pierces the way through the stratum that insists in dilacerating life.
